The Allegany High School Marching Band is proud to present its 2002 field show, "Essays on Time". The show consists of three parts: Part 1-Clockworks, Part 2-Cycles and Part 3- Blueshift. The show is based on the music of modern wind composers Cindy McTee and Roland Barrett.

Through the years the Allgany Band has been the recipient of many awards for their marching and musical excellence. The Allegany Marching Band is the reigning Chapter 13 champion of the last two years, has captured five state championsships in the last six years and has finished the last four seasons at the Atlantic Coast Championships as a gold meal finalist band, placing in the top five each year. The Allegany High School Marching Band is under the direction of Larry Jackson.
