Diversions of Angels

The Allegany High School Marching Band is proud to present its 2006 field show, "Diversions of Angels". The show features music from Norman Dello Joio. The ballet"Diversion of Angels", in 1949 and was performed by Martha Graham in 1949, is visual text on love. "Diversions of Angels" is a clever title for the three stages of love, adolescent love, sensual love and mature love.

Through the years the Allgany Band has been the recipient of many awards for their marching and musical excellence. The Allegany Marching Band is the reigning Chapter 13 champion of the last seven years, has captured nine state championships in the last ten years and has finished the last eight seasons at the Atlantic Coast Championships as a gold meal finalist band, placing in the top ten each year. The Allegany High School Marching Band is under the direction of Larry Jackson.
